This should not be interpreted as an irrevocable contract between the student and the university. While a student can graduate with the requirements of the catalog term under which he or she enters the university, the general guidelines, rules, and procedures in the latest edition of the catalog apply to all students. No grades below a “C-” are counted in the so-called “core courses”. Completion of an additional major requires advanced planning and preparation to determine the most appropriate semester for the requirements. All students applying for EA must meet with their current Technical Advisor, the BXA Director and a consultant in their target CFA field and take preparatory courses in their target area before submitting the application. Students must complete each of the categories (category descriptions will follow below). This is a requirement of 9 units. Any course taken below 9 units on this list must be combined with an additional course to meet at least 9 units to meet this requirement. Each CIT student participates in a common set of courses to provide a comprehensive understanding of all facets of computer science. Students may specialize in one or more concentrations at the end of their general courses in computer science. If a student is enrolled and enrolled at Purdue West Lafayette, they must meet the general education and graduation requirements specified in the then-current catalog. When students officially declare a major, they must meet the main requirements of the catalog in effect at that time.
Classes can only be cancelled or replaced with the permission of the speaker. From autumn 2016, students will have to take an aptitude test in order to give up a course. All MCIT courses must be completed (or delivered) during the first semester in which the course is offered during the student`s time in the program. Students may not miss or replace more than two required MCIT courses. The courses to which it is renounced must be replaced by an appropriate alternative. While students are allowed to miss a maximum of 2 courses per semester, no student can take a course and then do without the course for which that course is a prerequisite. So if you take 5910, take 5940. If you take 5920, take 5960.
If you take 5930, you must take 5950. All students must complete 33-141 Physics I for engineering students before the end of the first year. Thus, if a student opts for the introduction to chemical engineering (with 09-105 as a secondary requirement) for one semester and the introduction to electrical engineering and information technology (with 15-110 as a secondary condition), the student must take 33-141 instead of the general education requirement in the spring semester of the first year and take the general education course in a subsequent semester. MCIT students can apply to continue in the Master of Science in Computer science and information (CIS/) program. Students pursuing this dual degree program must meet a minimum cumulative grade point average requirement, have achieved a high grade in at least one CIS elective course, and have met the majority of mcit requirements at the time of application. In addition to the ten courses required for the MCIT program, students pursuing the CIS/program must complete six additional CIS graduate courses for a total of sixteen credits.
